#5 “ HERO”

According to  “ The Penguin Dictionary”, a hero is a person admired for special courage, nobility or great  achievements.
As e reflect on this definition. A name appeared on my mind. Janet ‘Jazz’ Yosores Catubig. I doubt you know her. Who is she? Well I’ll tell you a brief memoir about her.
She’s 40 years old but look like younger on her age. Definitely, not just a woman but a strong woman. She  fights when her ego touches and when she knows she’s right. She is patient and industrious. She lived in her aunt’s house when she was studying because her aunt paid her tuition fees in exchange of her help in doing household chores and running errands. She worked hard and uncomplainingly waited for more than four years to finished her studies. She’s now working abroad as a care giver in a hospital. She’s my mother’s sister, ang my grandfathers’s daughter. My aunt I tell you, an extra ordinary aunt.
When she arrived from abroad. I used to slept at their house when I was a little younger, that’s why I knew more about her. They said. She’s strict and frank. Well, that’s true but she has reasons. First, she don’t want to be stepped again by people like what she experienced. Next, she wants an honest and sinscere conversation even it hurts. Lastly, it is because she just wants to protect her family. That’s one thing I learned from her and she continued to let me and my brothers and sisters experience the joy of learning. She paid my sister and brother’s tuition fees without asking for anything. She also paid my cousin’s tuition fees. She didn’t forget her responsibilities to her family. I awe her a lot. She’s  just not teaching me the lessons in life but also the oppurtunity to have a better future. She is my hero.
I define hero as Janet ‘Jazz’ Yosores Catubig.
Raysa Herrera ain’t nothing more to say. Bye!
